Rumor has it that Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a new map next year that is based on Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty: Vanguard hasn't even released yet, but people are already looking ahead to the future. Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to release on all platforms Friday, November 5th. The game will include; 20 brand-new multiplayer maps, a zombies mode, as well as a brand-new Warzone map. On top of all that, on release day, Vanguard and Warzone will be debuting a new anti-cheat system, developed by Raven Software. This new anti-cheat is supposed to be much more complex system than past efforts that have been made.
For those of you in which that isn't enough, there's more. According to a report by VCG, citing anonymous sources, it looks like Warzone may be getting another new map in 2022. Apparently this map is gonna feature old Modern Warfare 2 locations as POI's.
Take this information with a grain of salt, but if you're as big of a Call of Duty fan as I am, this is exciting news. Imagine loading into a Warzone game, dropping in at Rust with your boys, getting a loadout, going to the top of Highrise, and killing everyone in sight? Sounds like a nostalgic dream.
It'll most likely be a while before us Warzone fans hear more about this potential Modern Warfare 2 themed map, but luckily Call of Duty: Vanguard is just a few days away. It may not be as exciting, but at least it's something, and you'll have something to look forward to.
